I have several of these ponchos, and I definitely prefer a bit of a heavier material. This almost feels medium weight and is all cotton, which I prefer over the bamboo blend. The slub adds a nice texture to the poncho as well. Great piece for spring and summer nights.

I really like this piece! The fabric feels good quality and pretty thick! Usually I've found slub knits to be very lightweight but this is a cozy and comfortable weight for a spring poncho. I do sort of regret the colour choice I made however. I got the trooper blue/green, and while it's a truly gorgeous colour on its own, it doesn't really play well with the rest of my closet... except blacks and whites. I've reached for it a couple of times just to realize that it doesn't go with what I'm wearing that day. I have a lot of other blues, greens, and rust/copper shades in my wardrobe. I think I wish I had bought this poncho in a neutral so it would go with everything! I should have bought trooper in a Rideau shoreline tee...and still might! Haha. But as for the poncho style itself... it's great! I think it might be snug if you're a larger woman tho. I'm tall with a not tiny frame and it does restrict my arm movement a bit when pulled over me all the way. I hope I find more uses for this piece when spring finally arrives!
